SamoilovART - Star Wars helmets for the US market
Premium Star Wars helmets at $320 for the American market. $12K of profit from a $2K ad budget through a 30-day retargeting funnel.
A $320 helmet is not an impulse purchase. The American audience deliberates: watches videos, reads reviews, compares against competitors on Etsy and Amazon. The standard saw-it-bought-it targeting does not work here.
We built a 30-day retargeting funnel with different creative at each stage. Days 1-7: unboxings from creators and fan reactions. Day 7: a trigger offer with a 10% discount. Day 14: a creative built around the last helmet of that version. Day 30: an exclusive limited-run series. Each stage did one job - introduction, trust, urgency, exclusivity.
We will review your situation on numbers: current campaigns, cost-per-lead forecast, launch plan.
Context
SamoilovART is a cosplay prop maker expanding into the US market. Premium Star Wars helmets from $200 to $320 are a difficult product: the ticket is too high for impulse, the audience is narrow, and the competition includes Etsy makers and official Disney merchandise.
What we did
Audience segmentation. Three cores: Star Wars fans (look-alike from merchandise buyers), cosplayers (Comic Con and anime convention interests), and prop collectors (prop replica and movie prop interests). Each segment buys for different reasons.
A 30-day content funnel. Creative rotated by stage: introduction (video of a helmet being built in the workshop), social proof (reviews and unboxings), urgency (limited runs), exclusivity (helmet personalisation).
Objection handling through creative. The main American objection was shipping from Russia and whether the helmet would survive it. We shot a dedicated creative about the packaging - foam, a custom case, insurance - which cut abandonment at checkout.
What made the difference
47 sales at $320 on a $2,150 budget is $15K in gross revenue. After unit economics - cost of goods, shipping, Stripe fees, advertising - $12K of net profit remains. A 5.5x return on ad spend in a premium niche with a long purchase cycle in the US is a strong outcome for a test launch with no existing customer base.
